On Wednesday, June 23, 8 p.m. Ringshout, the Asian American Writers Workshop and Brooklyn's Montauk Club invite you to The Montauk Club, 25 8th Avenue, Brooklyn NY (2,3 train to Grand Army Plaza).

Forming RingShout: A Place for Black Literature.
African-Americans often struggle with feelings of isolation, and African-American writers often long for a place to talk to one another. This group will examine ways in which educators, students and writers can develop and use new paradigms -- like the recently formed organization RingShout: A Place for Black Literature -- to build community and assert the centrality of African-American literature to the American experience for people of all races.
